I was a bit concerned when reading some of these reviews. I wanted a stand mixer and have been shopping around. My budget is small and my wishes are large but this Hamilton Beach 6 sp Mixer fit all my needs. I have used it for various projects and do not have one complaint. I am just an old fashion cook and nothing is fancy but this mixer sure does make it fun to start a new dish every time. It fit my budget and has completed any job I have set in front of it with no problems. This is a good venture if you are a standard homemaker and want to get the kitchen job done with ease and speed. Try it, you'll like it.

I've used this mixer for about a year, works well, no trouble at all. I didn't see the sense in spending a ton on something I don't use daily, so this was a good choice price wise, and it's performed really well.

I bought this mixer for my mom and used it until I could afford to get the "other" mixer. It definitely does the job, however it is LOUD! It sounds like a rocket launching when you run it above a 4 - make sure to take that into account if you are trying to bake while little ones are sleeping.
