3 x 18” Backplate, hot-forged brass in the traditional style of the 1800s, the design is taken from Louis XVI School of Architecture c.1774-1792 featuring the ever-popular fleur de lis which for centuries had stood as a symbol of the old French monarchy. This classic design really comes alive in the Antique Brass and Venetian Bronze. All BRASS Accents finishes are hand-rubbed and assembled in the USA. The flat surface of the plate is 2-1/2" x 13-1/16".
