I bought the kitchen aid mixer with 4.5 quart bowl, wanted a bigger size bowl for making meatballs etc. This bowl has a handle on it which is an added bonus! Reminder not to pt this bowl in dishwasher though, as it can discolor if you do that. Im happy that I purchased.

The mixing bowl that came with my KitchenAid would not come out of the mixer one day and we had to extricate it, and it didn't survive too well. Apparently, this is a common issue with some of these bowls, and depending upon in which they are made, it may be more likely than not that this will happen to you. I read many, many reviews in an attempt to locate one that would not cause this issue again, and I'm happy to report that this bowl works better than the original bowl that came with the mixer. It is a quality, heavy metal bowl that fits properly in the mixer. If you need a replacement bowl, this one works, so snap it up!
So much more affordable than getting one in store elsewhere. It also comes with a fitted lid that you has an indent to accommodate the mixer without an attachment if it's in the down position. That is nice since I sometimes find that dust and other debris gets in the bowl when I leave it in place, this keeps things nice and clean or makes it so you can easily store a batch of cookie dough in the fridge.
