This crate is plenty of room for our golden retriever. He often sleeps sprawled out on his back. If you are planning to hold drinks on top make sure you use coaster to preserve the life of the finish on top. We have had it for some months now and still doing a good job. Our dog has dome some minor chewing on it but it doesn't look too bad and still holds him every night.
