The bottom step is quite not wide enough to step on but it still works. It's very sturdy

I purchased these steps to help assist my older dog getting on the bed. It’s been several months & he has not used them once so I’ve been using it as a step stool throughout the house. The bottom step is a little more narrow then the top step. It’s pretty sturdy & I've had no issue using it.
