This is the perfect desk for my 14 year old daughters room. She was even able to put it together by herself. ❤ After about a week the paint chipped off the front of the desk where the chair fits in when pushed under the desk.
It’s a perfect fit for the area I needed it for to just have a small office area. But putting this together was awful. I had to drill new holes on one of e pieces, a piece that came already attached fell off and screws were stripped so I had to use wood glue to hold that together and one of the pieces of the drawer was unfinished. Very poor quality of pieces but I made it work. I probably should have reached out for new pieces but I didn’t want to wait.
There was a part broken. Some of the stickers fell off the pieces, so that caused some confusion. And near the end, the pre-drilled holes weren’t big enough to let the screw drop in and reach the part to attach to. So that happened. I used some glue and gravity. It looks nice. Part of me is just waiting for it to fall.
Unfortunately 8 months later I am disappointed with the design of the drawer. Which sucks because I loved this desk. A couple reviews call out the drawer not holding up. Yesterday the drawer just... broke. I was sitting across the room and the drawer just dropped. I don't even keep anything heavy in it, some papers, sticky-notes and pens and various light things, nor do I even open the drawer frequently, maybe a couple times a month. I think the cheap plastic piece that holds the drawer up and in the wooden groove is to blame. It's cracked and will no longer hold the drawer up. Tried gluing it but it's just not enough because the piece is cheap but the wooden drawer has a pretty substantial base weight. For the price of this desk I should have gotten more than 8 months out of it with light usage, and that plastic piece should be of a more quality material, like metal with wheels perhaps, to make the drawer easier to open/close (and to last much longer). Pretty frustrated right now, 5 star rating down to a 1 because I don't know what to do with this drawer, and without the drawer the desk isn't what I bought/wanted.
Since distance learning began, we realized how much our children needed their own space to work. Our 7 y.o. daughter has a very small room so this desk is the perfect fit. Easy to put together also.
Perfect desk for online learning! Able to provide my son with a “classroom” like environment.
I LOVE this desk. I completely agree w/ most of the reviews I read. It's very good quality, true to color -- this blue really is a Robin's egg blue which I love, perfect corner size desk big enough to COMFORTABLY fit a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse AND a cup of coffee but small enough not to take up much space. It does require more assembly than some but 1 person can manage despite directions saying you need 2 people but last steps would be easier w/ 2 just not necessary. The only reason I took off 1 star is I agree w a couple other reviews that noted the paint job is not perfect. Dont get me wrong, it's actually very good quality but there were 2 or 3 teeny tiny slivers missing paint but mine were on the legs or back where I dont even notice. Also, 2 screws I had to work my hands nearly raw to get them to bite the wood and get put in. The alignment does have to be spot on during assembly for them to go in right. Instructions warn not to tighten everything too much until the very end. Very pleased though!! Sturdy, beautiful, solid piece I'll use for years to come. Would definitely buy again.
Daughter loves desk and it is sturdy. I put it together by myself....
Very pleased with this petite desk. Exactly what I was looking for to fit in a corner. Love the blue color — it’s blue with just a touch of grey. A soft gender neutral blue. The directions for set-up were easy to follow. Took two people about an hour. Seems to be high quality and durable.
The quality of this desk is amazing. It was packaged well with no damage to any of the components. It took about 2hrs to put together but the instructions were easy to follow. I would highly recommend if you are in the market for a space efficient stylish desk.
