I ordered a gray and white bookcase, I was going to put it in the living room and I thought the gray backdrop of the bookcase with white case would be nice (my walls are gray). The bookcase is all white. The gray goes towards the wall, and is not seen at all. I called and the company told me, yup, it's all white. Nothing they could do for me, but very nice customer service guy. I ended up putting it on my porch, and leaving the back off. Not really stable, it requires the cardboard backing to help stabilize it, and then you should affix to wall. It suits my needs this way. So then I ordered two more of these, only black. And used them as a fake entertainment center in the living room. They look pretty good. The bookcase is plenty sturdy, but the backing again is a drawback. I did not put the backing on them (either), and it lets through a little light that is a nice backdrop. Easy assembly and good instructions. No scratches or dents.
Absolutely love this bookshelf. Put it together in a couple hours and it was exactly what I wanted for this space. Sturdy, cute, and inexpensive.

This was very easy to put together. Took me about two hours. This piece is very heavy and awkward to move in the box alone so if you have a dolly or helper I’d recommend it. I had to be creative on a couple areas putting together and if I had help it would have been so much easier-a couple pieces are just tricky by yourself but completely doable. It’s very sturdy and looks beautiful.
