The desk was damaged in shipment. I have tried to contact the manufacturer by phone, by email, and on their website to no avail. I was able to put the product together without the damaged piece, but customer service is an important part of any purchase. Manufacturers that don't support their product don't get recommended to others!
My desk arrived 2 days after I placed my order and was completely undamaged. My husband put it together easily (he is a DIY wizard). My only complaint is that the drawer does not sit properly and has to be pushed a certain way to open and close it. Otherwise, it is everything that I wanted. It has a beautiful finish which compliments the room. I highly recommend this desk.
A little complicated to assemble but love it
When I began talking all the parts out and started to assemble, one side was cracked and a small piece broke off. I need someone to contact me about replacing that part or I will not be able to assemble the desk.
The incompetent handyman came an 1hr. late around 6pm in an oil dirty tank top without any mask, exposing my family to COVID-19 virus and left my 10 years old daughter‘s room in disarray. The work is incomplete, he didn’t even put or assemble one piece of furniture together. He simply unpack the box. How is this acceptable Who is suppose to finish this work I am very furious.
The top of the desk (piece A)was cracked out of the box and cannot be used. Expected better.
This desk works perfect for the small space that I have. It looks a lot more expensive than what I paid. Super simple instructions, overall. I recall one issue of confusion. But I was chatting with friends while doing it so... probably on me. Overall love the design. Great storage. The shelves are designed to help you organize and I love all of it. Would not buy anything other atm.
My daughter loves the desk! However she did not have to put it together. The instructions were pretty clear for the most part but patience is required. Beware...the wood or whatever the material it's made of is very fragile and when I got to the part to flip it over (2 person) the wood broke or bended apart on 1 side where the screws were. I was so frustrated as I was halfway done with the project when I thought I was going to deal with a return process. I wound up reinforcing the area with screws and hopefully if I have to move the desk it doesn't collapse. As I type this I will be call wayfair about this but my daughter is enjoying her desk so i did not want to send it back or start all over. Aside that the desk is actual pretty pleasing to my eye and so far so good.
Absolutely Love it! This desk/hutch combo is the perfect size and style for the small area I had in my one bedroom condo to create the perfect office space. Rather than deal with the frustration of doing it myself, and based on other reviews of it being a very time consuming project, with many parts to deal with, I chose to use your "Handy" Assembly Service, and am very happy I did. The designated assembler, Christopher, was on time, very polite and pleasant, and had the desk/hutch assembled in a very timely, efficient manner, with no glitches and absolutely no stress on my part. I couldn't be more happy!
Absolutely love this desk, although it came damaged. It took 3 hours to assemble between 2 people, and the instructions were very clear, but could be difficult if you are not familiar with building anything this sizecomplex.
