This is a beautiful book case and exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that there are about 28 tiny nails that attach the back cover of the book case and the majority of them did not have predrilled holes. Because of this I was only able to screw in the ones on the top, middle, and bottom. I left the screws that go up and down each side out because there were no holes. This isn’t an issue for me because I have it up against a wall so I still give it five stars.
Very happy with look and quality. Color was richer than expected which is a plus.

This is a beautiful bookcase and I'm quite pleased with how it looks finished. I'll definitely want to anchor it and you have to be careful of which book you put at the end of the shelves so they won't fall out the open (ish) sides. I liked the way the setup hardware was organized with the specific pieces you needed for each step and the pieces were all labeled. I will say that the final step of screwing in the back piece was a bit frustrating without starting holes and caused me to do some superficial damage (to the back of the case) before I decided to wrap the screw and screwdriver in some of the packing material so that it would cushion if my screwdriver popped off as the screw fell out of the way. I did purchase two bookcases and one of them came with a part damaged, but the process to replace the part was easy and painless.
