The size of the bench is just right. It's a darker than I had hoped, but it's okay. It does exactly what I wanted it to do -- add seating around a small table. It came with a little gouge in the wood, but it can't be seen unless you bend down.
Great bench, fits perfectly in front of my queen size bed. Adds the extra flare for your room.
