Furniture is crafted using northern white cedar We even operate our own cedar sawmill that produces the lumber for our furniture! Northern white cedar is extremely light and quite soft but boasts excellent decay resistance and strength despite these characteristics. It provides a medium satin sheen, our premium quality, post-catalyzed, the alkyd-amino varnish is formulated to offer superior durability and UV protection. It helps prevent scratching and denting. Made from hand-peeled Northern White Cedar logs. Hand peeling leaves the natural character and beauty of the log intact and gives a more rustic appearance. Individually handcrafted.

This coffee table is solid wood. The measurements in the description were perfect and allowed us to match it up for the space in our den. I can't wait to purchase more furniture from the Fireside line. So much more than the description and pictures can possible show or explain.
