This review is for the "Jain Modern European Console Table". Something drew me to this table. I have gone from early American, to country, to slightly more elegant in decorating. Then we left our large home and downsized to a much smaller house. I have sensed that the new house is better with more modern touches. We certainly kept all we could, but much didn't fit. Because of my typical decorating style, I was surprised that I kept coming back to this table. Part of it is the color. We were fully decorated with oak. Boy - is it hard to find now. However, this table came close to honey oak, and was different in that it is just the table- simple without the decor and drawers that I am used to buying. I must say I really like it. There is a beauty to its simplicity and unembellishment. I was very pleased. It is uniform in design, and it is sturdily built. It will hold many types of treasures or whatever one would want to place upon it. I did talke several pictures, to give you an idea of ways I might decorate it. First there are a two photos of the table itself from different angles. The next picture keeps with the simplist decor, candle holders and a lamp. I thought this showed the table looked nice with just a limited number of Items. Then, I decorated more toward a style that I favor. Prior to our move, I had a large collection of Fenton Glass. I had to sell most of my pieces, but I kept a few. I think this picture shows that the simple design of the table can easily be dressed up. I next tried the table as a place to display our photographs. It worked well. This was one of my Eurkea moments with the table. The space between the top of the table and the lower shelf is very spacious. The lower shelf on most tables does not have the space on the lower shelf to display tall items I measured the space between the two shelves and also the hieght of the tall beige photo holders. This is a vey nice feature to the table. Next, I went back to a bit more elegant decor. I also had a large collection of Serpahim Angels before moving. I think this table does justice to the few angels I still have. I liked the look. As you can tell, I am big on collecting, My largest collection now is of Midene Candle houses. They are made in Lithuania. In 2016 we finally traveled in Europe. It was a river cruise. One day we had the option to go on a day's excursion into the Czech Republic. In one store, I saw a small three handmade piece set that resembled the Amersterdam and area's beautiful side by side houses. Unfortunately, for our budget, when I got home and looked up Midene Houses in Lithuania, Now I have a very large collection of these houses. I know they would look perfect on this table. They really do. The table just might be the permanent place to display them. I am very pleased with the table. It is very versatile with two tall shelves which can be used for display. Exellent!
