LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This set is as striking and beautiful as casual dining can be. The contrasting wood really “pops” and the set easily blended with our existing decor. The table base and chairs are slightly distressed black and the table top is a rich caramel color. There are grooves in the table top and I like them. I think they add character and cleaning hasn’t been an issue. In fact, cleaning is super easy. Just wipe with a damp cloth and voila! The storage in the table base is wonderful. There are four shallow drawers which I use for placemats and napkins and I love having them right where I need them. I haven’t used the wine cubbies because I think they’re a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe not but I’m afraid to try. In addition to that there are three generously sized shelves that are great for displaying serving pieces, storing board games, etc. We chose the counter height table simply for the vibe but there was a hidden bonus—our elderly neighbors joined us the other night and commented how easy it was for them to get on and off the chairs. We filled all six places that night and there was more than enough room. Speaking of chairs, these are really comfortable. There’s just enough padding so they’re not too soft or too stiff. The cloth is a durable neutral weave and the color stayed true after we treated the cushions with Scotch Guard. As an afterthought, it would have been easier to treat the cushions prior to assembly. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble but assembly was not easy. It took two adults, the table is very heavy, some screws are in tight quarters, and we basically griped about it every step of the way. In the end, though, everything was worthwhile. BTW, the boxes are all marked “Signature Design by Ashley.” I’m pretty sure this is from their Tyler Creek collection sold under a different name and at a better price. I highly recommend this dining set. I love everything about it!
We love this counter height table and chairs set! All the pieces are very well made. The set was easy to assemble and looks great. The chair cushion are very comfortable. One tip, stand the chair up on the floor and have someone that is light sit on the chair before tightening the bolts. This will insure that all four chair feet rest on floor evenly.
Very nice table. Perfect for the area we needed it in. One of the chairs support arm came cracked. My wife called Wayfair and their customer support was AWESOME. New chair being delivered soon.
I love it. Friends and family love it. We store our cards and dominos and dice games in the drawers for quick access when games are in order. The seats are comfy and easy up and down for older folks who dont handle standing from lower seats well. Table has been with me 6 months or so now and seen a lot of domino play and not a scratch.
Great quality! Beautiful craftsmanship, solid and sturdy wood. Grainy texture. Chairs very comfortable and love the look and feel of the upholstered seats. Love contrast of table top and color of table base/chairs. Very unique set. Yes, farmhouse look hit the mark. Honestly, I am delighted!! Very good service too.
