This dining set was a pleasant surprise. Everything we've ordered from Wayfair has been great so far; but I really expected this to be a little on the flimsy side. I was wrong. It's a good sturdy table. The pedestal is nice and thick, not cheap looking. The chairs are very nice......much better looking than the photo.....sturdy with a nice curve instead of the usual simple, straight chair.
