The first thing I want to say about this table is the chairs are definitely not as light and creamy as they show in the picture. When they delivered the chairs, I was pretty disappointed because of the color not being what it looks like in the picture. This picture is the only picture I could find on every website, not only Wayfair. With that being said, I absolutely love this table. It is so big and sturdy and really beautiful even though the chairs have a darker material. The chairs are nice and big.
Very distressed look. I LOVE the distressed look but some people think it's damaged but it's the way it's suppose to look. We ordered the matching armoire hutch and it really makes the set. Very thick wood. Table comes in 2 peices-there is a seam in the middle of the table. The chair covers are a warm brown and black pattern. Assembly guys did a great job of assembling it and were very careful.
The gentlemen who delivered the table immediately noticed the heaviness - it is very solid - they barely could lift the crate. They assembled it nicely. The surface is 2 inches thick of solid wood, not veneered. The pieces says made in Indonesia below on a sticker. The leaves all fit perfectly together - I mean almost press-fit quality. The item is distressed in places, especially in the corners and edges - a little lighter color in spots and a few dents here and there. The top surface has a few pits and scratches, but the color is uniform throughout the top surface like its been refinished - which presents a very formal look, almost like a restored heirloom piece. We put this item in our new Mediterranean house along with a few other Tommy Bahama pieces. The table sports a Spanish baroque look, and it is a pleasant change from the traditional style new tables it is much higher quality than most reclaimed or antique pieces you might try to buy. If you like a slightly distressed, restored formal look, but dont want to take chances on quality, this is a great table.
VERY happy with my table. It is everything I expected It is heavy and substantial. Once set up, you don't want to move it. The holes on two of the legs didn't align with the holes on the table itself. But Wayfair IMMEDIATELY shipped out two replacements.
Love my new table. It is solid. The delivery guy had to go get a helper to get it off the truck. They unpacked it, set up and cleaned up. I am extremely pleased.
