The brown color is mottled so it resembles leather but not microsuede fabric soft to sit on....it also matches my chocolate lab perfectly and of course she shares the couch with us. It's good value for the money.

It was everything I hoped for. High quality. The were two noteworthy issues with the sofa. 1. The back cushions aren't removable. 2. The box would not fit through a standard size doorway. My impression the box is a very tight fit. During shipping the box may bulge a tiny bit on the sides. It had to be removed from the box outside and it was still a very tight fit getting it inside.
