This is a very NICE set for the price, and I recommend it for small areas. I bought the Tobacco Black set, and it's not a true black, but more like a dark dark dark brown, almost black. I got this set to put in a vacant house I have for sale. This dining set makes the empty house feel more homey, and it gives potential buyers a place to sit down to write up an offer (I hope!). I assembled it by myself, and it took me about 2-1/2 hours. Getting it out of the shipping box took almost as long as the assembly.... ok, I'm exaggerating there, but it was VERY well packed, and all of the pieces were in pristine condition. Due to the size total weight of the shipping package (104 lbs), I opened the box where it was delivered down stairs, and carried the pieces upstairs. Assembly was EASY, just time consuming. I'm a power tool, person, so assembly with just an allen wrench is tedious for me. I did use my cordless drill to drive the screws that hold the seat section onto the chair. But you have to be very careful when using a power drill so that you don't over-tighten the screws, which could cause them to completely go through the seat. When assembling the chairs, it's best to not completely tighten the allen bolts right away. Tighten them to where they are snug but you still have a few more turns, then take the chair and put it upright on the floor ( use a hard floor, not carpeting). Then take one of the seats and put in on the chair and sit on it to get the chair level, then finish tightening all the allen bolts, being careful to not mess up the alignment you just made to get it level. Once done, it looks great.
It was delivered at 10 am today and already put together. The package comes in one huge 100 lb box, but no damage or scratches to report. Excellent condition. The table is super easy to assemble, but the chairs were a challenge. The effort was definitely worth it, and after assembly can say they are very comfortable. I had thought about buying chair cushions but after it got here, don’t believe I will. They are very sturdy and stable, quite comfy. Great price for a handsome set.
this turned out to be very nice and original. I simply love the two tone wood. it appears to be sturdy and hopefully last for a long time. this dining table is also the perfect size for my one-bedroom apartment. it is everything I expected it to be. Thank you Wayfair for replacing the tabletop that was damaged. It is now all perfect and I am satisfied and excited about this new set.
It's perfect size for my smaller dinning room. It is very comfortable and I've recieved alot of compliments.
